Sophie’s Sunday Best

Such a sweet little cardigan Sophie’s Sunday best is worked flat and seamed. The body is worked first from the bottom up and divided off for left front, right front and back. The sleeves are knitted next and then seamed into the armholes. Lastly, stitches are picked up for the collar.

The samples shown here with contrasting collars look great but my test-knitters also knitted versions with same-colour collars and they looked equally effective.

The pattern is written for ages – 6 months, 1 year, 2 years and 3 years. You will need approx. 4, 5, 5, 6 balls of a DK weight yarn in your main colour and a small amount of a second colour if you wish to work a contrasting collar.

The downloadable pdf pattern is available from Lovecrafts or Etsy for £3.50.
